Steps to make Mung Dal-Besan Dhokla:
- Soak mung dal for 4 hours. Now remove water and clean mung dal. Now make a fine pest of it by using grinder.
- Now in that add besan,salt,curd, lemon juice, turmeric,curd,sugar and mix well. Add little water if required by taking care of consistency. Give a mix and make lumps free batter. Allow it to rest 15 minutes.
- In a cooker add 2 glasses water and boil it, remove whistle. Keep a stand in cooker. Now grease a vessel with oil and keep ready.
- Now in a batter add baking soda/ENO, stir continue in 1 direction for 2-3 minutes. Now pour the batter in a greased vessel.
- Keep vessel inside cooker on stand. Close the cooker cover. First 6 minutes keep high flame then for 15 minutes steam on low flame.
- Remove vessel out,let it cool down. Now remove it in plate and cut it. Now pour tempering.
- For tempering, in a pan take 2 spoon oil,heat it. Now add mustard seeds, asafoetida,curry leaves, green chillies. Fry 1 minute. Switch off the flame. Pour it on Dhokla now.
- Now garnish with coriander leaves and grated coconut.
- Tasty Dhokla serv with Mint chutney.
