This vegetarian Caesar Salad recipe is quick to make and perfect for serving as a delicious and healthy side dish. On my forever-mission to make salads that aren't boring, I've created some out of the ordinary salad recipes (like this Spinach Salad and this Grilled Watermelon Salad ). To assemble the vegetarian Caesar salad, fill two large dinner bowls with mixed lettuce leaves.

The ingredients needed to make Caesar salad

- Prepare 1 head Iceberg lettuce torn into bite-size pieces
- Take 1 head romaine lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
- Get 1 pint grape tomatoes cut in half
- Take 1 Cucumber
- Get Italian style sharedded cheese
- Take Grated Parmesan cheese
- Prepare Caesar croutons
- Take Caesar dressing
The classic ingredients for Caesar salad are crunchy Romaine lettuce, bread croutons, Parmesan cheese and an anchovy-garlic Caesar dressing! In many recipes, mayo is used as creamy base. A typical caesar salad is not vegetarian because oftentimes the salad and/or the dressing is made with fish, such as anchovies. Obviously the dressing in a typical Caesar Salad isn't vegan because it's a cow dairy-based dressing and the salads are usually topped with cow dairy parmesan.
Steps to make Caesar salad

- Wash and cut all vegetables start with the lettuces,Peel and cut the cucumber, cut tomatoes in half, toss in a big bowl. Keep refrigerated and covered till ready to serve.
- Add cheeses,croutons, and dressing when ready to serve.
- Notes- Add grilled chicken, or chicken nuggets… I found that kids like this with cut up chicken nuggets with ranch dressing.
This vegetarian Caesar salad has a delicious Middle Eastern twist with a tahini dressing and crispy chickpeas. The tang is from the lemon or apple cider vinegar, and the richness is from the Worcestershire, briny capers and roasted garlic. I love Caesar salad, especially with lots of anchovies like I do in this Eggless Caesar Salad Dressing, so I was very curious to try a Vegan version.
