- Get 2 Cups yellow Mung Dal
- Prepare 1 Cup Urad dal
- Prepare 1 Cup Buttermilk
- Prepare 2-3 Green Chillies

- Prepare as per taste Salt
- Make ready 2 Tbsp oil
- Prepare 1 Sachet Eno
Instructions to make Yellow Mungdal Idli (No Rice Idli):
- Soak both the dals for 2 hours separately. Remove extra water.
- Add Salt, Green Chillies, buttermilk and Ginger. Grind the mixture to fine paste.
- (For those who want to use fermanted batter). Keep it aside and let it rest for 2 to 3 hours. Than add 2 Tbsp oil, 1 sachet Eno and fold it nicely.
- (For those who want to use unfermanted batter). Keep it aside and let it rest for 20 to 30 minutes. Add 2 Tbsp oil, 1 sachet Eno and fold it nicely.
- Steam the idlis for 4 to 5 minutes
- Serve hot with chutney or Sambhar
- Note- Instead of Yellow Mung Dal. (Rajma, split green mung dal, Masoor dal, Mix dal etc can be used)
