  2. Get 1 large onion, chopped
  3. Prepare 2 tsp olive oil

Steps to make Homemade Ketchup:
  1. In a preheated stock pot on low heat, add oil and onions.
  2. Saute until they are translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add all other ingredients, raise heat to medium- high, bring to boil, then reduce to simmer.
  4. Cover and simmer 2 hours stirring occasionally.
  5. Let cool and blend in food processor or blender.
  6. Keep in air tight container in refrigerator.
  7. NOTE: To make a spicier ketchup, just add a few splashes of sriracha hot sauce or finely grated horseradish!
